ASSARIA, KANSAS — Today, Kansans for Life, the leading pro-life organization in the Sunflower State, announced it is endorsing Rep. Steven Johnson for state treasurer.

In its press release, Kansans for Life said Johnson’s pro-life record will serve the people of Kansas well in the state treasurer’s office.

“Lynn Rogers has a long record of supporting extreme abortion policies,” KFL PAC Director Kristina Smith said. “It is time for his tenure in the Treasurer’s office to end.”

Johnson is in his 12th year of service in the Kansas House of Representatives from Saline County. He is a former financial services executive at Ameriprise Financial and operates his family farm in Assaria.

“I  worked diligently as a state legislator to protect the unborn,” Johnson said. “Sanctity of life isn’t political for me. It’s a core value, and I am honored that Kansans for Life recognizes that I share their ultimate goal – defending the rights of the unborn.”

Johnson is an outspoken proponent of the Value Them Both Amendment. On the campaign trail, he urges voters to support the constitutional amendment backed by Kansans for Life.
